On Monday, April 24, 2007 Yalda Alawi was featured, quoted, and even had her picture printed in the local newspaper, the East Valley Tribune.  I was interviewed because of my efforts to keep the neighborhoods surrounding the proposed New Casino updated with the latest news and information about the casino.

The new Casino is to be built 1/4 mile southwest of the intersection of Gilbert Road and Hunt Highway in South Chandler, – approx 5 miles South East of Seville Golf and Country Club.

The caption under the photo says we are “upset” about the new Casino, but we aren’t.  We are concerned, and we are holding judgment until we find our more information.

Some of you may know that I (Yalda Alawi) was raised in San Diego and consider it my home town.  My family and many friends still reside there, so I make sure to visit often.  From the amount of Arizona plates I saw everywhere in San Diego, I know I am not alone :) .

But one thing I will not complain about is the expensive gas here – for it is still 50 cents less than they pay all around San Diego.  See:

Now in my neck of the woods, its about $3.07 for the good stuff.  Any good deals out there near Seville?
