This looks like a cool idea.
Shea Homes’ new housing product called “SPACES” looks like it has a lot of potential, although it’s hard to tell because the Shea Homes ‘SPACES’ website has almost no photos of any new homes on it!
I guess Shea wants you to go see the homes in person for yourself… or Shea doesn’t have any homes built yet to show you. (Now that I think about, maybe the homes don’t show well in photographs…)
Shea is emphasizing the “green” aspect of “SPACES” which I think is partially code for smaller and cheaper. Shea explicitly says they were looking for cheaper ways to build homes so they are honest about it. What glimpses I see on their website gives me a bit of a loft feel for these ‘SPACES’ homes – fewer walls and contemporary styles.
The product’s got potential. It all depends on price.
