Shea homes sells Seville Golf Club

Shea Homes has sold Seville Golf & Country Club in south Gilbert to AZ Club LLC.AZ Club is a wholly owned subsidiary of ClubCorp USA Inc., one of the largest owner and operator of private clubs in the world, according to a statement announcing the transaction. The purchase price was not disclosed.

“Phoenix, ClubCorp owns and manages Gainey Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale and Anthem Golf & Country Club in Anthem.

Shea said it is its business model is to choose a golf course owner and operator with a strong track record and reputation once the golf and sports club facilities have been completed and a strong membership base has been achieved.

Seville Golf and Country Club was developed as the golf, social and athletic centerpiece to the Seville master-planned community.

It has two components: a a 30,000-square-foot clubhouse with restaurant, golf shop, locker rooms and lounges and . the Seville Sports Club, which opened in May 2005. It offers a health club, meeting rooms, entertainment center and a four-acre water park. Members also have access to an 18-hole championship Gary Panks-designed golf course.

I (Yalda Alawi) mentioned this a few weeks back, and finally had the time to visit Fulton Towne Center - on the South West corner of Ocotillo Road and Arizona Avenue in Chandler – during the Classic Cars Display. Every Friday at 6 PM people get together to see, and be seen with, classic cars. We had many favorites. Which one is yours? My daughter loved the RED one! People in South Chandler checking out the Cars. From Seville head West on Chandler Heights Road until you reach Arizona Avenue, then turn Right and head down one more mile. It will be located on your left hand side next to Lowes and Staples. The cars will be in front of WestUSA Realty – my office.

Visiting San Diego

Some of you may know that I (Yalda Alawi) was raised in San Diego and consider it my home town. My family and many friends still reside there, so I make sure to visit often. From the amount of Arizona plates I saw everywhere in San Diego, I know I am not alone .

But one thing I will not complain about is the expensive gas here – for it is still 50 cents less than they pay all around San Diego. See:

Now in my neck of the woods, its about $3.07 for the good stuff. Any good deals out there near Seville?
